MARQUETTE -- The second annual Bell Bike Race is set to take place, and it's time to register.

The Bell Bike Race is a competitive relay for teams of six, riding on spin bikes and raising money for a good cause.

The money is raised for the Strength from Within program that encourages area youth to maintain a healthy lifestyle and rewards them with the chance to earn a one-year scholarship to Northern Michigan University.

"The Bell Bike Race is the Upper Peninsula's only indoor competitive race of its kind, and so it's more than just a race as well; it's a community event, so we encourage the entire community to come out and be a part of the excitement," said Race Director Jeff Nyquist.

The registration is open until April 9 with the race being held on April 14.

Racers are encouraged to raise pledges for their team. The suggested minimum per team is $100. For more information on the race and registration, head over to Bell Bike Race website.
