KINGSFORD -- The Kingsford schools are upgrading their classrooms with 21st technology.
Many classrooms now feature the new smart board, which allows teachers and students to take a more hands on approach to learning.
Teachers described it as a giant iPad, which instructors can write on, surf the internet and bring up interactive content.
Officals say there is a bit of a learning curve, but the students are helping the teachers learn their way around the new device.
"I really like it the students are very excited about it and so far it's been very interactive with the students. they've been coming up and using it just as much as i have and we're actually learning through this whole process together, so it's been a lot of fun," said Lori Moreau, a teacher.
The learning experience does come with a price tag, however. Each smart board costs about 5,500 dollars.
