The effort to recall three Ishpeming City Council members will move forward.

The county clerk's office said there were enough valid signatures turned in. The recall is expected to be on the May ballot. Council members Elaine Racine, Michael Tall and Claudia Demarest are the targets of the recall.

The Ishpeming Citizens for Bjorne Justice Committee is behind the effort. They're upset over the firing of Ishpeming Police Chief Jim Bjorne.
