The subjects planned to leave for Canada without a leave of absence, police said

MUNISING -- Two U.S. Army soldiers are in custody in Alger County after being wanted from authorities in another state for making threatening remarks.

The soldiers were carrying weapons while walking through the city of Munising, according to troopers from the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post, Munising Detachment.

The subjects planned to leave for Canada without a leave of absence, police said. Their names have been withheld at this time pending arraignment.
