MARQUETTE -- People in Marquette got a unique chance to learn how to cook authentic Greek food Thursday night.

As part of the monthly cooking classes offered by Karen Larson Interior Design, a full Greek menu was taught to those looking to expand their culinary talents.

Michelle Butler of Vango's Restaurant in Marquette was on hand to share some of her tips for making authentic Greek food.

"It's a monthly event; we feature chefs locally and from out of the area, and they feature their own recipes, not necessarily what you'd have in the restaurants but maybe some of their favorites. So we've had pastries, we've had cakes, we've had Mediterranean, tonight was Greek," said Karen Larson who hosted the night.

The classes are held at Wood Mode Custom Cabinetry on Washington Street.

The cost for the classes is $35 and feature refreshments, recipes and camaraderie.
