Man gets jail time for drug possession

ONTONAGON COUNTY -- Sentencing was handed down on Monday for a man arrested last October in Ontonagon County for drug charges.

Joseph Allen Westie had plead guilty to one count of attempted controlled substance possession.

He was sentenced to three months in jail, with credit for 17 days served.  Westie will also be under 18 months probation and must pay fines and costs.

He was arrested along with three other people after an investigation by UPSET detectives.
