ONTONAGON COUNTY -- An Upper Peninsula law enforcement officer is doing fine after rolling a patrol car.

The trooper from the Michigan State Police was enroute to a complaint when the accident happened.  Around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, a call came in that a woman was using an ax to break the windows of her home in Stannard Township.

Trooper Joe Renaud of the Wakefield State Police Post was on his way to the incident when he lost control of the patrol car on M-28 near Tula Railroad in Wakefield Township. The car left the road, rolled over and landed right side up.

Renaud was not hurt in the accident.

The 41-year-old woman was arrested for malicious destruction of property.  Her name is being withheld pending arraignment.
