IRON MOUNTAIN -- In an attempt to promote heart healthy living, the Oscar G Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Iron Mountain will be hosting a heart health fair tomorrow at the hospital from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The goal is to raise awareness for healthy living. There will be a nurse available to take blood pressure. There will also be educational presentations and printed information.
“We'll be playing a game like wheel of fortune where people answer questions about the heart, heart disease, how to prevent it, and how to make themselves healthy,” said Linda Hayes.
It's not only for veterans. The whole community is encouraged to attend.
The event will be in the main lobby.
