HOUGHTON -- The phones were ringing off the hook at the Flowers by Sleeman shop in Houghton, and the entire crew was on hand, putting together all kinds of flower arrangements.
Customers stopped in to place their order for that special someone, and the shop says roses and mixed bouquets are at the top of the list for many people.
"Flowers are really important on Valentine's Day because they show someone that you really care for them and that you love them," said Flowers by Sleeman co-owner Judi Sleeman. "It brightens the day for someone that maybe doesn't get flowers very often. Valentine's Day is a good day to bring someone special a bouquet of flowers."
If you haven't placed your order yet, Flowers by Sleeman says it's not too late. They'll be taking orders on Tuesday, and they still have a large selection of assorted flowers available for your loved one.
