CALUMET -- They call themselves Marrakesh Express, and the band is made up of eight musicians who pay tribute to the folk rock band Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young (CSNY). In fact, their name is derived from the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song Marrakesh Express.

It was released in 1969, and the song is about a train ride to the Moroccan city, Marrakesh, which is home to a unique marketplace where snake charmers roam and various fabrics are sold.

"They're the only touring tribute band in the world, and they've played to tens of thousands of fans throughout the country," said Calumet Theatre’s Executive Director Laura Miller. 

The Calumet Theatre is the place to be for those looking for fun and entertainment, and in less than two weeks, the tribute band.

Miller says the band will sing some of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's biggest hits like "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" and "Teach Your Children".

"Their music is full of emotions that have taken place in this country throughout the decades, and it's going to be, kind of, hitting home with a lot of things that are going on in the world today," Miller said.  

Some critics say CSNY are one of the greatest rock bands in the world with unique three- and four-part vocal harmonies. Marrakesh Express has dedicated their lives to perfecting those distinctive blended sounds.

The band will perform on Valentine’s Day. Tickets are on sale for $23 and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
