ISHPEMING -- An Ishpeming man is in jail after he attempted to use parts of a shotgun as a weapon against a female, police said.
Marcus Nelson, 29, was arrested Wednesday at a residence in Ishpeming. According to police, Nelson resisted arrest and assaulted an officer. He is charged with first degree home invasion, resisting and obstructing, and domestic violence charges.
Nelson was estranged from the woman, but they do have a child together, police said. She was not injured. Nelson remains in jail on a $40,000 bond.
