Wisconsin man dead in snowmobile crash

WATERSMEET -- Michigan State Police responded to a fatal snowmobile accident in Watersmeet Township on Thursday afternoon.

Paul Nelson, 69, of Onalaska, Wisconsin was traveling on Old US-2 Road when he fell off his snowmobile. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say speed is believed to be a factor in the crash, but the incident is still under investigation.
