MARQUETTE -- A Marquette woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly person's bank account.

Fifty-two-year-old Alice Marie Kurian is charged with larceny over $20,000.

Last Friday, the Negaunee City Police received a complaint regarding money missing from a 94-year-old victim's bank account.

Police discovered that over the past year, ten withdrawals were made without the victim's knowledge.  Police say the loss exceeded $20,000.

If convicted, Kurian faces up to 10 years in prison.
