Fire causes minimal damage to assisted living facility

Marquette City firefighters were called out shortly after 11 a.m. to Sundara House on Lincoln Ave.

MARQUETTE -- A small structure fire shook some Marquette residents Sunday morning.

Marquette City firefighters were called out shortly after 11 a.m. to 401 Lincoln Ave. The facility is known as Sundara House.

A fire had started on the second floor. Crews were able to extinguish the flames which they say came from a bathroom, officials said. None of the residents was injured. The building is an assisted living facility.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
