IRON MOUNTAIN -- State Representative Ed McBroom talked about a bill which aims to stop the sale of designer drugs such as K-2 spice.
McBroom said he expects the bill to move very fast through the legislative process.
Drugs, such as spice, are starting to become a problem downstate as well.
McBroom said letters that he and other members of the legislature have received have heightened the sense of urgency and motivated them to get this done quickly.
"Please, help for this area. We've got a problem here. We need legislation to address this drug issue. Please move forward, especially letters that reference the bill number specifically," said McBroom of some of the letters he has received.
McBroom expects the bill to be passed sometime between late January and mid-February.
