MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP -- The Marquette County Sheriff's Department is again urging everyone to drive carefully following a car crash involving a 64-year-old woman on Wednesday.

Cheryl Abbott and her 66-year-old passenger, Stewart Abbott, were driving on US-41 and attempted to turn onto Northwoods Road when she lost control of her vehicle and struck a utility pole around 1:30 p.m.  She continued to drive through the snow, shedding the utility pole from the roof.

Abbott was treated and released from the scene for minor injuries to the facial area.
