DELTA COUNTY -- It's the third day of the new year but just the first day on the job for the new Delta County Treasurer, Tom Sabor.
Last month a committee selected Tom Sabor to take over the job previously held by Sandra Buckland. Sabor was the Vice President of Administrative Services at Bay College. He is a CPA and had once been an auditor.
Sabor is currently training on the job with new accounting and tax receipting software.
"I'm very excited to be here," said Sabor. "People here have been great to work with. They've been very patient with me; the public and the employees of the county."
Sabor said he's still getting acclimated around the office but is excited to learn as much as he can about the job.
