Employees at Jim's Jubilee Foods in Ishpeming said shoppers look for party-sized trays and deli products

In Ishpeming, people are stocking up for their New Year's Eve festivities. At Jim's Jubilee Foods, New Year's Eve is a busy shopping day. Sales typically increase on this day as shoppers stock up on party products. Employees said shoppers look for party-sized trays and deli products.

Liquor and soda sales tend to increase throughout the day. Overall, employees said 2011 has been a good year for profit, and they expect that to continue through the new one.

"Sales are really good. You see a lot of people buying party trays, fish products, lobster tails, shrimp, all the fixings for all that stuff; a lot of drinks bought," said Store Manager Dustin Gransinger.

The store did not close early on Saturday, in fact, it's open until 10 p.m. for any last minute shoppers.
