The Youth Advisory Committee, or YAC of the Marquette Community Foundation, raised about $1,400 for the Marquette County YMCA Endowment Fund
MARQUETTE -- They may be young, but they're making a difference that's bigger than they were even hoping for.
The Youth Advisory Committee, or YAC of the Marquette Community Foundation, raised about $1,400 for the Marquette County YMCA Endowment Fund. They'll also be matching the first $1,000 they raised with their own funds and contributing about $1,200 in total. The work was hard, they said, but important to support such a valuable part of the community.
"I think the Y is a big thing with the community; I think it has more an of impact than some people think," said Corey Miles of YAC.
Next on their list, the YAC will volunteer their time helping out with the Junior Noquenamon race in January.
