MARQUETTE -- Marquette General Hospital has made the list of Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in 2011.

The list is published by the National Association for Business Resources, which has 10 years of experience conducting best company competitions.

Winning companies are evaluated on communication, community initiatives, compensation and benefits, diversity and multiculturalism, employee education and development, employee engagement and commitment, recognition and retention, recruitment and selection, and work-life balance.

"Nationally recognized award recipients keep innovative human resource initiatives at the forefront of their company culture and make it a priority to consider their workforce as an essential aspect in their company success," said Jennifer Kluge, NABR President.  "Our Association is proud to recognize and honor these winning companies for this fine achievement."

Marquette General Hospital was on the list of West Michigan's 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in 2010 and early 2011.

"We recognize that our employees are the heart of our organization and the drivers behind our success," said Marquette General and Superior Health Partners President and CEO A. Gary Muller.  "Being selected nationally as a Best and Brightest company validates our commitment to our employees who have stood strong and worked hard through the changes our organization made over the past several years.  The overall success of our organization can be attributed to their hard work and dedication."

Nationally selected companies for Best and Brightest Company to Work For will be featured in the January online edition of Corp! Magazine.
