Alger inmate could face felony charges

ALGER COUNTY -- Officials say a prisoner at Alger Correctional Facility could face felony charges in addition to a misconduct for attempted escape.

Authorities say the prisoner missed a roll call. Further investigation revealed that the prisoner crawled to an inner perimeter fence before returning to his cell.

He was wearing multiple layers of clothing and carrying hygiene items.

His name has not been released. The incident remains under investigation.
