So far, they're about $2,000 from their goal

NEGAUNEE -- The Ishpeming Salvation Army has two days left to reach their goal for the holiday season. The charitable organization was at Super One Foods in Negaunee on Friday afternoon, trying to meet their $28,000 goal.

They even had some special guests stop by to get people in the holiday spirit. Kids were also invited to take pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

"It makes me happy to see the community stepping up to make sure that we're able to assist the people here in the west end and all over Marquette," said Lt. Stephen Hanson of the Ishpeming Salvation Army.

So far, they're about $2,000 from their goal, but the Lieutenant is confident that they will reach it.
