MARQUETTE -- Marquette City Police are investigating an apparent robbery of a Marquette business.

Officers responded to an alarm at Jayz Tobacco Outlet, 1015 N. Third Street, at 1:34 a.m. Thursday.

Upon arrival, they found the glass front door damaged. Inside, a glass display case was damaged, and merchandise taken. What was taken and the value has not been released.

Police have gathered evidence, and the investigation is ongoing. At this time, they have not said if they suspect more than one person in the break-in.

Jayz Tobacco Outlet is a relatively new business in Marquette and is affiliated with Jayz Tobacco Outlet in Iron Mountain.
