ESCANABA TWP -- A Gladstone woman is dead following a two vehicle accident on US-2 in the Bayview area.
It happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Louise Tracy Morrigan-O'Connor, 46, was driving northbound when she lost control of her vehicle and slammed into a southbound vehicle, police said.
O'Connor was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sought his own treatment. Poor road conditions contributed to the crash, police said.
Alcohol or speed were not factors. The accident remains under investigation.
Michigan State Police Gladstone Post were assisted at the scene by Delta County Sheriff's, Gladstone Public Safety, Rampart EMS, and Escanaba Public Safety.
