Story hour is held on every second Sunday of the month at Peter White Public Library

MARQUETTE -- Story hour at the Peter White Public Library in Marquette brought smiles to the faces of local children Sunday.

Story hour is held on every second Sunday of the month. Northern Michigan University's chapter of the National Student Speech, Language, and Hearing Association organizes the event. The students read books and enjoyed some arts and crafts with the kids.

Each event has a different theme. Sunday's was the Gingerbread Man. All children are welcome to attend story hour. The next one is scheduled for Jan. 8.
