The National Weather Service in Negaunee reports that the last day to see a high over 30 was December 4 (at 32 degrees). Sunday's highs will easily beat that.
A strong southwesterly flow is rushing in lots of warm air to all of the upper Midwest. Highs in Upper Michigan should be in the mid to upper 30s with some areas reaching 40. Skies will be mostly clear with only a few passing clouds. Lows will mostly be in the 20s.
The southwesterly wind will persist through Monday and make for above average temperatures for a few days, but Sunday will be the warmest. Monday will see a bit more of a southerly wind.
A southerly flow on Monday evening will open up moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and bring some precipitation to Upper Michigan. Temperatures will make it a difficult forecast, however. A rain and snow mix is most likely.
Tuesday will see a slight decrease in temperatures. This will likely turn the rain and snow mix into snow. Snow accumulations will be very light.
