Former youth association treasurer arrested for embezzlement

ONTONAGON COUNTY -- A former youth hockey association treasurer has been arrested on embezzlement charges.

The Michigan State Police of the Wakefield Post have arrested 43-year-old Anne Pollard for embezzlement after a two month investigation.

Pollard who had been serving the past two years as the treasurer of the Ontonagon Youth Hockey Association.

The investigation found that a large sum of money had been taken from the association account for personal use.

A felony warrant was issued for embezzlement by an agent or trustee between $1,000 and $20,000.

If convicted Pollard faces up to 5 years in prison and or a $10,000 fine.

Pollard was arrested and lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail where bond was set at 10% of $200,000 and a $45,000 cash assuirty to be posted and she must also report all spending over $200 to the court.
