ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP -- Westwood High School students tested their imaginations in front of a live audience during their improv show Wednesday evening.

The students are part of the drama class and club at the high school.

Teacher B.G. Bradley says he teaches the students the basics of improv and lets them take off from there.  Bradley says improv is an essential part of dramatic acting as it helps actors think on their feet.

The students were given various subjects and situations from the audience and created a show completely on the spot.

"Human beings, whether they're experienced actors or not, seem to have an innate sense of "okay, now it's a performance," so now things change a little bit and that can be really good and it can be really bad sometimes, too, but mostly it's good," said Bradley.

The improv troupe will perform again at the Joy Center in Ishpeming on November 30.
