MARQUETTE -- Once again, organizers of this year's Turkey Trot Race are ready to help those looking to get some exercise in before their big Thanksgiving day meal.

The 5 and 10 kilometer race is a fundraiser for Marquette orchestra students.  Organizers are also collecting canned goods for the TV6 Canathon.

Business Students of America designed and will be selling t-shirts for $15 to raise money for their club.

Organizers say the race is a great way to meet up with some old friends in a fun atmosphere.

"We have a lot of people that live out of town that are visiting just for Thanksgiving, and it's a great time to see people you haven't seen in a while," said Marquette Senior High School Orchestra Director, Janis Peterson.

The race takes place at Marquette Senior High School Thanksgiving morning with registration at 8 a.m. and the race beginning at 9.
