Name released in alleged attempted child abduction

MUNISING -- The name of a man who was arrested for allegedly attempting to abduct a 12-year-old Munising girl was released on Friday.

Forty-year-old Mohamed El Fectali, of Pierrefonds, QC Canada, was arrested on Thursday after allegedly attempting to entice a 12-year-old girl into his vehicle, according to the Munising City Police Department.

El Fectali was pulled over by the Michigan State Police in Seney after area law enforcement received a call from the girls parents.

He is being held in the Alger County Jail on $500,000 bond.
