MUNISING -- A man is being charged with an attempted kidnapping and enticing a child for immoral purposes in Munising after an incident around 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Munising Police Department reported that the suspect allegedly attempted to entice a 12-year-old Munising girl into his vehicle. She became scared and ran home, telling her parents about the incident.
Michigan State Troopers from the Munising Post located the suspect's vehicle near Seney. He is a 40-year-old native of Morocco that has dual citizenship for Morocco and Canada.
The man's name is being withheld pending his arraignment in the 93rd District Court in Munising.
