DELTA COUNTY -- The United Way of Delta County has a campaign goal of $250,000, and so far they've raised a little more than $125,000.

The campaign wraps up at the end of December.

Executive Director, Julie Mallard, is working to reach businesses and individuals who haven't yet contributed.

Most of the donations come from workplace campaigns.

Fifteen non-profit organizations in Delta County, like Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Salvation Army, received United Way funding.

"People are really in the giving spirit around the holidays, but truly, the needs are there all year-round.  Sometimes they're quiet needs. They're not always things that're out all over the place.  There's a lot going on in this community that you might not even realize," said Mallard.

Mallard said she hopes more people donate whatever they can, not just this holiday season, but throughout the year.
