GWINN -- No criminal charges will be filed in the death of Gwinn man last August.  It was then that 33-year-old Mike Hill died from asphyxiation during an altercation at a home on Northernaire Street in Gwinn.

Marquette County Prosecutor Gary Walker says after reviewing all the reports, there is not enough evidence to bring criminal charges.

Officials say Hill was intoxicated when he entered the home during the afternoon of August 17.

Walker says, to his knowledge, Hill did not know the people inside the home.  A fight broke out, and the residents ended up on top of Hill while trying to restrain him.

Hill was taken to Marquette General Hospital where he later died from asphyxiation.
