MENOMINEE COUNTY -- A Cedar River resident discovered a two-year-old boy while jogging in the Wells State Park on Wednesday morning.

The jogger found the boy around 10:50 a.m. on the side of a trail sitting in the leaves.  The boy was crying and reaching his arms out towards the jogger, according to the Menominee County Sheriff's Department.

The jogger carried the boy to the Park Ranger Officer where they contacted the police.  The boy was very scared, according to the person who found him.

The boy was reunited with his mother after the Menominee County Sheriff's Department discovered where he was from.

The case has been handed over to the Department of Human Services.
