ISHPEMING -- Children in Ishpeming went on a trick or treating parade near the Carnegie Library on Sunday. The library held a party and parade for local families.

The kids bundled up in their costumes inside before the walk outside. Once outside, they paraded around the block, stopping at each corner to get treats like candy and activity books.

"We have specials all year long here at the library to get the families into the library, but this is probably the biggest, the Halloween one. It gives the kids an opportunity to wear their costumes one more time also in a safe environment with their families," said a librarian, Mrs. Davidson.

Nearly 100 people showed up to participate. After the parade around the block, the participants went back inside to enjoy apple cider, play games, and participate in activities.
