MARQUETTE -- Downtown Marquette was filled with trick or treaters Saturday afternoon.

Businesses in the area welcomed kids and families to participate in the event.  It provided a safe and fun environment for children to trick or treat.

They all seemed to enjoy the walk around the town.

"Mostly it's because I like getting lots of exercise," said Mark cambensy ,Trick or Treater.

"We're from Marquette and we like to come down and see the local businesses, and they boys enjoy walking around downtown.  We've been to the YMCA earlier today and then we went to the library and now we're down here," said Mark's mother Kristen Cambensy.

Assorted candy was given away to those who wanted it.  For most participants, it's a traditional experience.
