ISHPEMING -- Folks went bowling for a good cause in Ishpeming Saturday.
For the first time ever, the Teal Lake Lodge of Masons sponsored a charity bowling event.
The event wasn't only for charity, but also networking. Proceeds will go to fund the Salvation Army.
"They [the Salvation Army] lost $14,000 dollars from FEMA because of the hurricane on the east coast and whatnot. It's not their fault, it's not FEMA's fault either. They're doing what they can, and we're trying to make up the difference," said Mason, Tony Pool.
"Just trying to get as much as we can for donations," said fellow Mason, Doug Jarvi.
Bowlers were entered into a raffle where they could win unique prizes like painted pumpkins.
It cost $10 and two non-perishable donations to play.
