MARQUETTE -- With Halloween just around the corner there is no better time than this weekend to check out the haunted lighthouse tours.

The tours are put on by the Marquette Maritime Museum.  They feature costumed interpreters giving factual stories about ghosts in the lighthouse.

Participants will get to enter the lighthouse and see each room as they're told about the many stories of former keepers and shipwreck victims.

Organizers say it's not like a traditional haunted house in that you never know what you will see.

"You'll get to meet a dead lighthouse keeper, maybe play hide and seek with a girl named Jessie, and possibly see some shipwreck survivors," said Assistant Museum Director Taylor Adams.  "You never know what you're going to see when you go up there."

The tours about about an hour and will take place this Saturday and Sunday at 4:00, 5:00, and 6:00 p.m.  The cost is $10 and all proceeds go to the Maritime Museum.
