CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP -- A Chocolay Township man helped police crack the bank robbery case simply by using his cell phone.

Adam Brigman, a volunteer firefighter in Chocolay Township, shot footage of the car used in the robbery.

Brigman uses an app he downloaded on his cell phone to record his driving in case he comes across any accidents.

Police were able to identify enough of the vehcile's license plate numbers to locate the vehicle and ultimately the suspect.

"It feels pretty good that I was able to help out my community.  Like I said, I'm a volunteer firefighter so I like to help out and get things done," said Brigman.

Brigman says he was at the Holiday Station to get a soda before work and had no idea about the robbery until days later.
