ISHPEMING -- Over 75 people came out to the annual Harvest Auction for the Salvation Army in Ishpeming.
The event is designed to get them through the slow donation period that comes in between summer and the holiday season.
This year's big ticket items were a snowblower and a football signed by the Green Bay Packers.
Organizers say every year they raise about $2,000 through the auction. But given the tough economic times, they're hoping this year is a little more profitable.
"It goes to our day-to-day social service work that we do, utility help when possible, our food baskets we do year-round, and our lunches on Mondays and Fridays," said Salvation Army Lieutenant, Stephen Hanson.
All auction items were donated by area businesses.
