LANSING (AP) -- The Senate Economic Development Committee is slated to vote next week on legislation involving the new proposed bridge that would connect Detroit to Canada.
They'll vote on creating an authority to oversee the proposed new international trade crossing next Wednesday.
Governor Rick Snyder and many businesses support building the multi-million dollar public bridge to aid passenger and commercial traffic. Others fear the bridge could leave Michigan taxpayers on the hook if the project doesn't pan out.
