Peshtigo man killed in early morning crash

PESHTIGO, WI -- A fatal car crash around 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday in Marinette County resulted in the death of a Peshtigo man, identified as 50-year-old Lloyd Lange.

Bethany Schambureck, an 18-year-old from Marinette, was traveling southbound on US-41 when she lost control of her vehicle.  Schambureck crossed the median, entered oncoming traffic, and collided with Lange's pickup truck.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Schambureck was taken to Bay Area Medical Center for treatment of her injuries.

This is the Marinette County's tenth traffic fatality in 2011.
