MARQUETTE -- With the start of NMU hockey season just around the corner, it was time again for the annual "Skate with the Cats" event at the Berry Events Center in Marquette.

Plenty of young kids came out to skate with their idols on the rink.  Some even received autographs on their backs from their favorite players.

"It's great for our team to be out here today to support our local community.  I think we all remember when we were this age," said NMU Captain, Justin Florek.  "It's a lot of fun.  We help these kids out like a lot of the old Wildcats did when I was that age."

Also, four suites are up for sale at the Berry Events Center for any groups or businesses interested in enjoying NMU activities together with amenities like catered food and hosts.
