MARQUETTE -- A new series on NBC has caused some controversy, and our Facebook fans want to know more.
The Playboy Club debuted on September 19 on NBC. The show centers around the "Bunnies" of the first Playboy Club in Chicago.
Before the show aired, WLUC did receive feedback from some religious members in the community, discouraging the station from airing the program due to its subject matter.
However, now that the show has aired, Marketing Director Kim Parker says he hasn't received any feedback.
He also says to his knowledge, WLUC has never censored any program from airing. He encourages viewers to be their own censor.
"If we took all the shows off that offend somebody, we would be in black twenty-four-seven because our programming offends somebody," said Parker.
Facebook viewer Rebecca M. Jennings agrees.
"Change the channel if it offends you, you can't love everything, and you sure can't censor everything if you aren't a fan of it," wrote Jennings.
In the past, WLUC has only censored 30 minute paid advertisement programs and commercials.
