MARQUETTE -- Those getting a snack in Lakeview Arena may notice a familiar taste as Vango's Pizza has taken over the concession stand.

The City of Marquette has leased the use of the concession stand for October through March.  Vango's previously took over operation of the ice cream stands at Mattson Lower Harbor Park and Presque Isle.

The stand will still serve traditional favorites such as nachos and hotdogs, but also healthier options such as sandwiches and fruit.

"It's an opportunity for us to get our name out into the community," said Vango's co-owner, Michelle Butler.  "It's a service that we feel we're offering back to the community, and a lot of youth that start employment in these locations work all the way through college here at Vango's.  We've just enjoyed it."

Although the hockey season ends in March, Vango's will continue to operate the concession stand for any events through the summer.
