The town of Trenary is known for its Outhouse Races in the winter and its Fur and Feather Swaps in the summer

TRENARY -- The Great Northern Poultry and Livestock Connection holds four swaps each year at the Holmquist Feed Mill in Trenary.  People that raise their own livestock come to sell or buy, and hopefully, get a bargain.

It's a lifestyle that many of them enjoy.

"Our Great Northern Poultry and Livestock Connection, we hold these swaps also to raise funds for local 4H groups and youth groups, and we've also donated money to the Marquette and Alger County fairs over the years," says treasurer Becky Gygi.

Concessions and entertainment were also part of the event.

This was the last Fur and Feather Swap for the summer.

For more information on the G.N.P.L.C., you can contact the Holmquist Feed Mill at (906) 446-3325.
