LANSING (AP) -- The new leader of Michigan's largest teachers union says recall efforts against Republican lawmakers are underway.

That's because voters, along with teachers, are unhappy with upcoming taxes on pensions and business tax cuts.

The Michigan Education Association says more than two dozen other recall efforts involve teachers but also include seniors unhappy with pension taxes and voters opposed to education cuts.
