MARQUETTE -- So far construction crews have restored concrete while working on the joints and towers of the parking deck in Marquette.

The Downtown Development Authority is reminding people that the one million dollar project will continue through next month.

"I know it's inconvenient, but if they can just be patient.  It's temporary and it's going to extend the life of the structure another 25 years," says Mona Lang, Executive Director of the Marquette DDA.  "If they can just bear with us, we appreciate it, both downtown employees and customers that are coming in to visit downtown."

Crews are scheduled to flip construction over to the west side of the structure on Monday.

The project should be completed by the end of October.
