MARQUETTE -- This weekend, beer brewers and beer lovers will unite at Mattson Lower Harbor Park for the third annual U.P. Beer Festival.
This year's festival will boast over 200 beers from almost three dozen Michigan brewers. In addition to testing various types of beer, the festival will also have live music from local acts Shotgun Kelly and Skronat and food from the Border Grill and the Rubaiyat.
With warm fall weather expected for the weekend, organizers say it's a great time to get to know more about Michigan beer.
"It gives people chances to talk to the brewery owners, the brewers themselves, so it's a good hands on approach to Michigan beer," said Jasper Ridge Brewmaster, Grant Lyke.
Advance tickets are $30; $35 at the door if available. Designated driver tickets are also available for five dollars.
The festival runs this Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m.
