MARQUETTE -- The Superior Alliance for Independent Living assists adults with developmental disabilities.  Since February of this year, they've held instructional workshops once a month.

Wednesday's instruction focused on teaching good housekeeping skills.

Anyone attending was able to participate for free and take home a few snacks and some valuable advice.

"Good housekeeping is a crucial skill for living independently.  The ability to maintain your own home without help from a housekeeper or from a social worker, it makes an amazing difference in someone's life in being able to keep and maintain their own home," said workshop participant, John Taylor.

If you know an adult with disabilities that needs help, the Superior Alliance for Independent Living (SAIL) says don't hesitate to contact them.
